“This is Leann Collins, I took your class at Jack Dahlstroms a few weeks ago. I have to tell you I am enjoying shooting my shotgun so much now. I have improved my shooting without that much practice. I just came back from the Austin chapter Safari Club International picnic. We had a shoot off 2 man team and my partner and I who I had never met shot 46 out of 50 clays. I had so many people asking where I learned to shoot that good and David and I talked your class up. Now I just need to work on transferring it to my pistols and rifle.” |

----Lee and I went to San Antonio for the opening of the Central Zone Dove season. I got my limit of twelve doves on the first day. I have found a new sport that I really love. Thanks for your help. |

"As you know, my reason for taking the lessons was to learn to shoot birds on the wing. I had the opportunity to go duck hunting, and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I must tell you that after completing the course, I bagged my limit of blue wing teal my first trip out! Now I go duck hunting every chance I get, and every time I get in a good shot, I think of you and smile, knowing how proud you'd be of this 'ole lady student'." |

I really enjoyed myself, as did the other ladies. Ray said he had a message from you last night and that you had another successful three days of lessons this past week. | Leon, thanks again for helping with the Texas State Rifle Association Annual Ladies Outdoor Shoot again this year. It is always amazing to me how you can take ladies who have never touched a gun and have them zeroing in on a clay target in no time at all. Congratulations on a job well done…once again |
